As the name hints at, the Telegraphnamt hotel is housed in the city’s former main telegram office, the construction of which began in 1910. It opened as a hotel at the end of 2022 and is already just as illustrious in its new incarnation, having been the backdrop for fashion-week shows. The decor nods to its heritage and many of the original features are intact, from the columns to the capped ceilings and the brick walls. More recent additions to the hotel include a Japanese bakery and a sushi bar. There is also now a members’ club and a spa.
